These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of KeyoAPI. By creating an account, purchasing credits, or calling our API, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

KeyoAPI is an independent OpenAI-compatible API gateway. We provide access to third-party AI models (chat and image generation) under our own branding, pricing, and quota system.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partners of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, or other model vendors
Model availability, latency, and quality depend on upstream providers and may change
Pricing is shown on our website (including the pricing / wallet pages). Charges are prepaid credits / quota unless we state otherwise

2. Accounts and API keys

You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure
You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys
Do not share keys publicly or allow unauthorized use
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, fail payment checks, or violate these Terms

3. Payments and refunds

Payments for credits are processed by our Merchant of Record, Waffo
Credits / quota are digital goods. Except where required by law or where Waffo / we determine a charge was erroneous, purchases are generally non-refundable after credits are delivered
Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account suspension

4. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You must not use KeyoAPI to:

Generate or request NSFW, pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive content
Create deepfakes, face-swaps, or non-consensual intimate imagery
Produce content that exploits or endangers minors
Generate or request hate speech (仇恨言论) — content that demeans, threatens, harasses, or incites violence or discrimination against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics
Promote violence, terrorism, illegal weapons, or criminal activity
Conduct scams, phishing, spam, or social engineering
Violate intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
Attempt unauthorized access, scraping of protected systems, or disruption of our / upstream infrastructure
Circumvent usage limits, security controls, or content filters
Resell access in a way that violates upstream provider terms you are bound by, or misrepresent KeyoAPI as an official product of a model vendor

We may refuse, rate-limit, or terminate requests or accounts that violate this AUP. For image generation, we may apply automated moderation and logging.

5. Your content and responsibilities

You retain rights to your lawful prompts and outputs, subject to upstream model licenses and applicable law
You are solely responsible for how you use outputs
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit prompts and process any personal data you include

6. Intellectual property

KeyoAPI branding, site design, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. Third-party model names are trademarks of their respective owners and are referenced only to describe integrations.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE uninterrupted uptime, specific model behavior, or fitness for safety-critical uses.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KEYOAPI AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR CREDITS IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, unpaid or disputed charges, legal risk, or operational reasons. You may stop using the service at any time. Unused prepaid credits are generally non-refundable except as required by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to all KeyoAPI accounts, API keys, and all AI-generated content — including text, images, audio, video, and voice.

Allowed use

Lawful software development, research, education, and business automation
Chat, coding assistance, and non-prohibited image generation through our API
Building products that clearly disclose KeyoAPI / third-party model usage where required

Prohibited use

You may not use KeyoAPI to create, request, host, or distribute:

1. Sexual / NSFW content — pornography, erotic content, sexually suggestive imagery or chat, or “uncensored / no filter / NSFW” marketing claims
2. Deepfakes & face manipulation — face-swap, non-consensual intimate imagery, or deceptive impersonation
3. Child exploitation — any sexual or exploitative content involving minors (fictional or real)
4. Hate speech (仇恨言论) — AI-generated text, images, audio, video, or voice that demeans, threatens, harasses, or incites violence or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or other protected characteristics
5. Violence & illegal harm — instructions or content that promotes violent crime, terrorism, or illegal weapons
6. Fraud & abuse — scams, phishing, malware, credential stuffing, spam
7. IP & privacy violations — unauthorized use of others’ copyrighted material or personal data
8. Platform abuse — bypassing rate limits, filters, billing, or security controls; attacking our or upstream infrastructure
9. Misrepresentation — claiming KeyoAPI is an official OpenAI / Anthropic / Google / other vendor product

Enforcement

We may:

Block or moderate prompts and outputs
Rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts
Report illegal activity to authorities when appropriate
Refuse refunds where misuse caused suspension
